Description
This jade deer is made of white jade. The jade is vintage and yellowed with brownish red soak-induced color and hair-like grain. The soak-induced color corresponds to the color of the deer’s original fur. Very beautiful.
The deer is looking back. It has apricot shaped eyes, bulging cheeks, and two ears attached to the antlers. The antlers are three-pointed, connected to each other, bent and tilted back.
The limbs are flexed and lie down. Its long hooves point out, shaped like willow leaves. Pointed tails turned outwards.
This jade deer has strong muscles, smooth muscle lines, and agile expression. The jade is fine and solid. Its surface has a thick patina with a mild luster. It is an excellent Han Dynasty (206 B.C.-A.D.220) sculpture ornament.
