Description
The surface of piece carving jade ornament is rusty and in soak-induced dark red color. One phoenix bird has an arc ge-shaped high crown on the head. The tip of “ge” is triangular and sharp, with blades on both sides. The other bird has feather-shaped high crown.
The phoenix bird has round eyes, a hook beak, and the neck and shoulders are engraved with a feather pattern with negative lines. Both sides have the same pattern. The jade ornament has a tenon at the bottom, which is used to insert it on other objects. Usually such jade ornaments are used for sacrificial ceremonies.
