Shang Dynasty Jade Human-head-shaped Ornament

Description

The front of this white jade head is engraved with exaggerated but figurative facial features: big “臣” shaped binoculars. A garlic nose protruding from the face, decorated with concave lines. A square mouth with exposed teeth and a pair of fangs. Earlobes. There is a crown on the head, and there are holes on the crown, which can be worn.
The back is engraved with a blessing inscription.
The jade is fine and mild. There is a brown soak-induced color that penetrates into the jade.
